Anti-virus and Anti-spam Protection
UCR provides two important tools in support of desktop security: anti-virus software from Sophos and anti-spyware software from Webroot. The campus has purchased a site license for these products and they are available at no cost to all staff, faculty and residence hall students.
Both the Sophos anti-virus and Webroot anti-spyware products are licensed for computers located on campus as well as computers faculty and staff utilize at home. If you encounter any difficulties downloading or utilizing the software, please contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@ucr.edu or dial 2-3555).
